Join the Babson College No-Code Startup Program today!
As a student, you will rapidly build, test, iterate, and deploy your own no-code product over the course of 10 weeks. At the same time, you will learn to assess the desirability and viability of your business idea to decide whether these ideas would make sense to pursue and fund or not - a crucial part of starting any business.
Babson will offer weekly access to top-tier mentors from their network, including accelerator and studio partners who can offer industry insights and practical next steps as you learn the craft of building a business.
By the end of the course, you will be well-versed in the Bubble platform and have been exposed to the key mechanics for starting your own no-code software-based startup.
Why Bubble?
Bubble is one of the leading platforms for no-code software development, so students will be getting ahead of the curve on one of the biggest trends in the software industry.
Why should tech entrepreneurs learn no-code?
Tools like Bubble will cut the learning curve of creating software applications in half - which gives businesses built on no-code a serious strategic advantage in the entrepreneurial landscape. By learning no-code and the ins and outs of Bubble’s software, students will be able to rapidly build, test, and deploy new ventures in the future. No matter where they decide to implement their skills, Bubble will enable them to move more quickly and efficiently.
Who is teaching the Babson No-Code Startup class?
Rob Roberts is a Serial Entrepreneur and Management Consultant in many industries who now serves as a Director of User Experience (UX) for a leading HR software provider. Rob will be teaching students the Bubble Platform in this program.
Rob has been an entrepreneur since he was in the 4th grade, but discovered Bubble back in 2016. He was blown away by Bubble’s power and capabilities, allowing him to build almost anything he set his mind to! Since discovering Bubble he has used the software with dozens of clients including Dunkin' Brands.
“No-code is revolutionary for entrepreneurship because it shatters the barriers of creating new ideas and businesses with software. So many cool businesses never get created because the founders can't code or can't scrape together enough money to have someone else do it. No-code is at least 10x faster and cheaper than coding, also, so that means micro and tiny niche applications that could never get built before are possible. It's a very exciting time.”
Andrew "Zach" Zacharakis is Professor of Entrepreneurship and Director of the Babson College Entrepreneurship Research Conference. He is the author of five books on entrepreneurship and has been interviewed in numerous national publications such as the Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, Inc. Magazine and Entrepreneur Magazine. Zach's writings and research focus on two major areas of entrepreneurship: entrepreneurial growth strategies and the venture capital decision-making process. His seminal "New Venture Creation" class at Babson remains a perennial favorite. Zach is an active angel investor in seed stage deals.
Sebastian Fixson is Associate Dean of Academic Programs and Innovation at the F.W. Olin Graduate School of Business, and Professor of Innovation & Design, at Babson College. As Associate Dean, he oversees the management of current graduate programs and is also responsible for the launch of new initiatives.
Sebastian sees that as our world becomes more software-driven, it’s more important than ever to develop software solutions as quickly as possible. That’s what intrigued him about the possibility of no-code and Bubble.
“Our world is changing rapidly. Change is always an opportunity to improve, even if it is sometimes scary at the same time. My goal as an educator, especially in innovation, is to equip people to deal with, and contribute positively, to our changing world. I believe the Babson No-Code Startup Program is a new format of education that can help participants to jointly learn technology (no code software development) and entrepreneurship (venture building) in a very experiential approach.”
