Bubble App of the Day: Kiter
We asked Kiter founders, Andrew Mangan and Peter Mangan, about building an app that helps users reach their dream job or school. Andrew is a computer science and mathematics student at Stanford, and Peter has a technical background as well. They chose to launch Kiter on Bubble's no-code platform for the speed and flexibility it offers to experiment and improve their users' journey.
Tell us about your app and what it does.
Kiter is a platform that helps our users reach their dream job or school. We make tracking applications and interviews fast, effective and fun with tools designed to help everyone steer towards their next adventure.
How does your app work?
Our users turn their list of companies that they are interested in or have applied to into an interactive dashboard to help chart their path forward. We believe action and accountability should be easy to achieve and we provide an experience that saves our users time getting organized. This makes the whole process more enjoyable and our most common feedback from excited users is that they wish they had discovered us earlier!
Tell us a little about your background and how you discovered no-code tools like Bubble.
We are brothers and working on this project has been exciting. I (Andrew Mangan) am a computer science and mathematics student at Stanford and my brother Peter has a technical background as well. We chose to launch Kiter with a no-code platform for the speed and flexibility with which we can experiment and improve our users' journey. We are constantly speaking with Kiter users to find out how the tool can better support them and the millions of future applicants.
Why did you build your app on Bubble?
Bubble has provided us the best array of tools for Kiter. The problems we are solving are not wholly divorced from what we might face if we were developing a full stack application, but we are able to focus precious time on the back of Bubble's intuitive interface. Combining flexibility that can support our exploration with an intuitive set of tools that can support speed of discovery is a powerful combination.
What have been your milestones or successes so far?
Since we launched Kiter to a few select communities in the Fall, we have been continuing to add features and expand our user base with broader tools. Especially in times like these, making it easy for someone to find their next role is a mission that is easy to stay motivated towards. In an effort to help the many of our users give back to those still in their job and school search, we launched Kiter advisor which lets friends, mentors, or family assist anyone with Kiter from anywhere that they have an internet connection.
What are your future plans for your app?
We look forward to continuing our growth and are exploring several exciting new features and approaches in 2021!
