We asked La Boutique founder, Stephane Kattie, about building an app that makes shopping local easier. La Boutique's mission is to provide consumers with local shopping convenience and equip retail businesses with the ability to thrive in an online-offline world. Stephane has used other no-code tools like Google Sheets and Airtable to build cool products for work before. He chose Bubble because she believes Bubble is the most versatile no-code tool there is available.
Tell us about your app and what it does.
La Boutique is on a mission to make shopping local easier. In anticipation of opening our marketplace, we have released V1 of our app, which lets you discover shops in Amsterdam (Brooklyn to follow soon). Buying local and supporting small businesses within and outside of one's community are top priorities for consumers.
We created La Boutique to respond to this demand and help local retailers bridge the offline and online worlds. Providing consumers with local shopping convenience and equipping retail businesses with the ability to thrive in an online-offline world is what La Boutique's mission is all about. We're creating a marketplace where you can shop online at local stores in your city.

How does your app work?
On the home page, users can see collections of Amsterdam-based stores. In La Gallerie, users can search and filter stores based on their location or interests. We provide information about the stores, their opening hours, and users can also view the stores on a map.
By creating an account, users can save stores in collections to view stores later. Additionally, users can create an avatar that will identify them on the app.
This is the first release of our app. We are working to open a marketplace where users can shop for products from multiple retailers.
Customers will have the option to have their orders delivered or picked up in-store. Participating retailers can easily create a store and add products to start selling on the marketplace. With the app, retailers can easily manage products, orders, customers, and deliveries. They can also access their dashboard, where they can view reports and customer insights.

Tell us a little about your background and how you discovered no-code tools like Bubble.
I learned about the term "no-code" while interviewing for jobs last year. No-code is a concept that instantly appealed to me, and I discovered that I had long been a fan of the concept. I had used Google Sheets, App Sheets, and Airtable to create cool products for work. However, when I was introduced to the no-code world, I quickly came across Bubble and was blown away by the possibilities.

Why did you build your app on Bubble?
I believe Bubble is the most versatile no-code tool there is available. It felt like the only tool capable of making our vision a reality.
What are your next steps or future plans for your app?
Our team is working hard to open our marketplace in Amsterdam (NL), Haarlem (NL), and Brooklyn (US). Retailers in these cities are welcome to contact us about joining the marketplace. For more information on the marketplace, please check out our [website](https://www.laboutique.delivery/).
