We asked Revetize's co-founders, Richard Bitton and Jordan Richardson, about building a customer marketing and CRM app that allows businesses to run reviews, referrals, and loyalty campaigns. Before Revetize, Richard owned a solar company. He learned about Bubble through Jordan, and they chose the no-code platform because it provided a cost-effective and quicker solution to building a web app than hiring coders.

Tell us about your app and what it does.

Revetize is a customer marketing CRM that allows businesses to run reviews, referrals, and loyalty campaigns. In addition to software, Revetize offers coaching and white-labeled loyalty/referral apps to its customers to assure their campaigns succeed.

How does your app work?

Revetize pulls in our client's customer data (via CSV or integration) then automatically initiates a drip campaign to the customer to send SMS, email, voicemail & direct mail to the customers. The unique part is that they can build all of the landing pages, coupons, and URLs necessary to execute these campaigns from within Revetize. We also provide real-time analytics and dashboards to analyze and administrate their review, referral, and loyalty campaigns from within our platform.

Our extensive new thing has been the white-labeled apps; we now include a branded mobile loyalty and referral app for our clients within our software subscription. This means that a small jeweler that has never dreamt of building their app can now have an app in the iOs and Google Play stores in less than two weeks. These branded mobile apps allow our clients to offer their customers some cool features like:

  1. Submitting, tracking, and being compensated for referrals they submit to the business.
  2. Customers can chat with the company through the app.
  3. The business can send their customers promos to their mobile app's "Deals" tab (and push notifications).
  4. Customers can review and leave feedback for the business in the app.

Tell us a little about your background and how you discovered no-code tools like Bubble.

Before Revetize I owned a solar company. After learning that we were losing revenue to inadequate referral systems and a lack of online reviews, I started looking at different solutions. We started looking for reputation and referral generation platforms and felt the market was underserved for smaller offline businesses (retail, home services, etc.) In 2017, I reached out to Jordan Richardson as I knew he had experience building apps (he was far techier than I am). He mentioned he had just learned about a no-code tool that would allow him to get our idea to market much quicker. In the beginning, we only had planned to build our MVP on Bubble. By month three, we were already monetizing our product and testing the market. As time went on, we were astounded at the potent possibilities of building with Bubble and committed to riding out the process on Bubble. Over the past 4+ years, Bubble's offering has also significantly grown, and now we are confident we can scale the whole way on Bubble.

Why did you build your app on Bubble?

Much more cost-effective than hiring coders and much quicker to market.

What have been your milestones or successes so far?

Milestone 1: In December of 2018, we were accepted into a tech accelerator called AngelPad; they acknowledge roughly 12 companies out of 4,000 applicants, so we were excited about that. We were mentored by one of the first hires at google Thomas Korte. This was an unusual but essential step in building our company.

Milestone 2: What is far more exciting to us is that after four years, we finally understand where we fit in the market and how to best drive value to our customers. We anticipate ending the year with close to 200 percent growth in year four with far better retention than we've ever had. Our team has grown from 3 to 11 employees this year.

What are your next steps or future plans for your app?

Our plan is always to build relevant apps in the marketplace and bring value to our customers. The entire purpose of Revetize is to improve the lives of those who use it. As long as we make business owners more revenue and marketing directors look like superstars, we will be happy with the app.
