We asked Vendora founder, Yaser Aldada, about building a marketplace and community app for local cultural wedding professionals. Yaser has a backgrond in business and engineering. He chose Bubble because the no-code platform is an easy-to-use tool with no product design or coding knowledge required.
Tell us about your app and what it does.
Vendora is the first and only marketplace and community for local cultural wedding professionals. The platform powers the marketing and advertising needs of wedding and event businesses in Canada and USA.
We are driving a shift towards a demand-based, digital economy for wedding service and event businesses, helping them find new customers and manage their customers better.
At the same time Vendora is helping couples plan their weddings, engagements, and other events by making the whole process easier.
How does your app work?
On Vendora, wedding professionals and event businesses can register, create a profile, post their services, showcase their talent, and generate more qualified leads!
As for couples, they can browse vendors, see ratings, view the services they offer, send messages, and book! From photographers to cultural entertainment groups and much more, we’ve focused on becoming the one stop shop for wedding planning.
Tell us a little about your background and how you discovered no-code tools like Bubble.
As a non-technical entrepreneur with background in business and engineering, I spent couple of weeks looking for tools to empower me and ease the process of building a professional application without the need to have coding experience.
Why did you build your app on Bubble?
Bubble is an easy-to-use tool with no product design or coding knowledge required. This allowed us to focus on other important parts of building Vendora: marketing, sales, hiring a team, raising funds, etc. Also, with the Bubble app builder, we are able to make changes to our app in minutes and without any additional cost. This gave us an edge over other competitors who are going to market at the same time because the ability to change quickly is crucial to early-stage startups.
Furthermore, creating an MVP can be costly if you need to hire a software engineer, but with Bubble we were able to build a professional MVP and go live within few months and at a very low cost
What have been your milestones or successes so far?
We launched Vendora just a few months ago, on Feb 2021. Within few months, we were able to validate the product, engage with our customers and add value to vendors and engaged couples.
Vendora has been growing in a very fast paced and we are expecting to have more than 10k active user by end of 2021
What are your next steps or future plans for your app?
For our future plans – the team is currently working to launch our mobile app to simplify and ease the process of planning weddings for couples and help wedding vendors manage their customers better.
We are also exploring other services to add on our app, like the ability to organize and promote wedding related training workshops through the app. This will allow wedding vendors to diversify their revenue streams and generate more leads for their businesses.
