Bubble App of the Day: UserLoop
We asked UserLoop founder, James Devonport, about building an app that allows brands to create and send surveys to their customers by email. James is a product manager but he has been building apps on Bubble since 2017. He chose Bubble because the no-code platform gives him the power to build powerful SaaS apps quickly and without the need for a development team.
Tell us about your app and what it does.
We offer one-click customer satisfaction surveys which allows brands to create and send surveys to their customers by email. UserLoop offers easy to understand CSAT dashboards and analytics so you can see what your customers really think!
How does your app work?
Users can sign up and create a survey. Surveys are totally customizable - users can add their own question, logo and even reaction emojis. When they're ready to send a survey simply set up an automatic trigger or upload customer email addresses. UserLoop then sends the survey to customers and collects responses. Responses are delivered in real time to Slack and analytics dashboards help users understand how satisfied customers are.
Tell us a little about your background and how you discovered no-code tools like Bubble.
I'm a product manager in my day job but have been building apps on Bubble since 2017. Having the power to bring my app ideas to life myself has been a total game changer and allowed me to build the products I want. Several of my apps have been acquired and I'm hoping to make UserLoop my full time SaaS project in 2021!
Why did you build your app on Bubble?
Bubble gives me the power to build powerful SaaS apps without needing a development team. It's fast to iterate on features based on customer feedback and I don't have to worry about technical infrastructure as Bubble takes care of everything. Compared to previous startups I've run which had VC investment I have saved hundreds of thousands of dollars by building apps myself on Bubble rather than hiring a development team.
What have been your milestones or successes so far?
I've just launched publicly and just started to get my first customers on UserLoop, I've had some fantastic feedback so far. My previous Bubble app RemoteQuiz was acquired in 2020. Excited to be building UserLoop in 2021 - my target is $10k MRR by the end of the year.
What are your next steps or future plans for your app?
I'm currently working on native Zapier and Shopify integrations to allow customers to automatically send surveys from those platforms. I'm spending a lot of time writing content and optimising my site for SEO at the moment.
