Most clients come to me when their app isn't working as it should. Having been an official coach and instructor for Bubble for the past ~4 years, I'm a quick study on what's going wrong and strategizing the quickest path to a more functional app.
The first step in the process is a ~30-minute call to take a quick look at the problem their seeing to understand the context, and then do a live mini-audit to explore potential underlying technical causes. During this part of the call, I peek at their data structure, app structure & reusables strategy, backend logic, and security setup, and talk through what I'm seeing. In a few minutes, we can determine a whole lot about what might be causing issues.

From there, I usually lay out two potential plans of attack - a "good enough for now" patch-up/optimize project, and a "do it right" full job - plus a loose time/cost estimate for either approach. If budget and timeline align, we'll spin up an agreement and then dig into the finer points of the project. We break it down into discrete phases. prioritized by impact and technical necessity. App security is always an element of every phase, along with time for thorough testing. Often there is some restructuring of data as well (my favorite 😍), which I plan in excruciating detail so we don't break anything in your app along the way.

I manage tasks and communication throughout the project through a custom client dashboard I've developed over the past 10+ years of freelancing. Through this simple system, you'll receive regular (~twice-weekly) updates that let you know exactly what's been accomplished since the last update, what's up next, and where we are on budget. My clients love this system - everything is in one place, and they never have to ask what's going on. For clients who are very hands-on, I provide detailed walkthroughs of how I'm building and why, so they can better manage their app (and assess future developers' work) once I've handed the project off.
