I want to mention that I have tested more than 10 different video player plugins available in the marketplace. I’ve tested all the paid plugins, ranging from $50 to $99. How did I test these plugins? - I subscribed to these plugins and added them to my app. - Tried to use the plugins within my app on my existing data. - Listed the advantages and disadvantages of each of them. I understand that each one of us might have slightly different priorities when it comes to the features of a video player. So, maybe your priorities are not aligned with mine, in which case you need to keep looking. However, I will list my priorities, and if you share the same, then I can guarantee that, at least at the time I am writing this review, there is no better plugin for you. Background - How I Use the Plugin: My app, Golspire, is a platform that allows creators to create, publish, manage, and sell their online products such as courses or challenges. A video player is one of the core features because end users who buy the courses should have the comfort of accessing the video materials they’ve paid for. My Expectations: 1. **Cost**: The cost of the plugin wasn’t important. Quality was the only important factor. 2. **Responsiveness**: This was our main priority, and in our opinion, there are no alternatives to this plugin in terms of responsiveness. Videos should play beautifully on both the web and mobile versions of the website, automatically, without requiring specific configurations for each version. I love that this player instantly opens videos in full screen on mobile—it looks natural and is very user-friendly. Other plugins were very hard to configure for both horizontal and vertical videos, and they were not as responsive as expected. This plugin handles this perfectly. Moreover, I tested this plugin on mobile phones, laptops with different OS and screen sizes, TV screens, and even a projector (around 95 inches). Amazing all the way. None of the other plugins came close. With other plugins, we spent a lot of time configuring everything for horizontal videos to look "okay," and then vertical ones looked awful, for example. 3. **Speed**: I have played videos around 50 minutes long, and it works amazingly well with no limits. I have around 50 users of the app now, all watching the same videos, and it works great. I received no support tickets about this. Again, users use my app from completely different devices. 4. **Features**: Basic features like playback speed control and dynamic video source are present. This plugin has fewer features than others, but each feature works seamlessly, with no bugs or surprises. To be honest, I prefer fewer but high-quality features. 5. **Support and Feature Requests**: This exceeded my expectations. I messaged the team about some important features, explained the business reasons, and the team reacted instantly. Of course, you have to wait and probably not every feature will be implemented, but they’ll definitely consider it and will be open to discussion. To Sum Up: I totally recommend using this plugin. I am writing such a comprehensive review because I see the plugin isn’t popular yet and want to encourage the team to continue their great quality work! Thanks for the cooperation!
