Blog HTML WYSIWYG Editor TinyMCE

Plugin details

This plugin is an alternative to the Blog HTML Editor/Display plugin, to help you host a blog in bubble. But this one carries only the HTML Editor with the TinyMCE api. It doesn't carry the Content Display Element, as I was facing many bug with it, because of the way bubble content loader works.
But it you just want to edit HTML content in a What You See Is What You Get (WYSIWYG, similar to WordPress) manner, this is the plugin for you. Is kinda of a WordPress content editor, if you don't know what the term means.

You can see a demo here => https://estare-plugins.bubbleapps.io/version-test/blog-post-plugin/sample-post

Instructions

Brief video tutorial => https://youtu.be/viD2cDuXDFE
Just place the "HTML TinyMCE Editor for Blogs" element in your page and save it's "value" to a "text" field in any "thing" or "app type" you'd like.

To avoid the warning message from TinyMCE that "the current domain is not approved", access https://www.tiny.cloud/auth/signup, create a free account, generate an API Key and enter you domain name in the "Approved Domain" menu.

Then you must enter the API Key in the plugin's options/configuration at the bubble editor. That will allow you to use TinyMCE editor without annoying warnings.

Finally, after creating your content with the editor, you feed it to an HTML element (native to bubble) to display your content, already formatted and styled accordingly.

Hope that's simple enough! πŸ™‚

❗❗❗❗ IMPORTANT!!! ❗❗❗❗
If you have any content previous to version 4.0.0 in your app, you'll have to edit for the changes to apply. You only have to open the editor, add anything, like a space " ", and save. Your content will be updated according to the new behavior of the plugin.

I know it can be annoying, but trust me, the plugin is better now and for the future.

Fantastic!

I got it working in no time flat, no problems. Just building a simple site, but wanted slightly better blogging capabilities than just sticking in a text file. Works perfect for me.
It looks great, BUT

Hey Estare. Could you clarify a bit how do I output just the content? The plugin seems to work perfectly, but its saving as HTML content, which just shows it for the user. Also, do you have a paypal/dollar account for tips?
Hey, thanks for using the plugin. You can output the content generated by it in a HTML Element, native from bubble. There was a time where the plugin had an element to output the content, but it was from the time before the responsive layout. I have plans to revisit this plugin soon, to make it better and maybe get back with this content element. πŸ™‚ (plugin author)

Super Amazing Plugin
June 8th, 2023
That this plugin is not getting full 5-star in overall rating is why I think the plugin review system in bubble is broken and needs fixing, because it is almost hilarious. This plugin is a MASSIVE improvement on the original TinyMCE plugin (that is ironically rated 4.7). As basic as this may sound, on the original plugin you cannot add two text editors on the same page, only one will work, whereas with this plugin you can add as many as you want. Also word count on this one is automatically displayed, unlike the other one where you will have to go through 3 clicks to get it. It makes no sense that people are rating it low without even putting in some effort to figure out how to set it up. For anyone who will read this, THE PLUGIN DOESN'T HAVE A BUBBLE EDITOR PREVIEW, so if you want to see how it will look, just preview your page. (PS, this is something the author should look into when he has time). But overall if you wanna create a rich-text field in your app, this is the BEST FREE plugin on bubble to do it, 100%.
Don't work

After placing this element on the page (test preview) a small gray nonclickable rectangle is displayed instead of a text editor.
Hello there. Please contact me at [email protected], so I can help you your case. Everybody else's seems to be working, but if there is a bug, I must study your case to fix it. (plugin author)
