⚙️ Configuration Guide – Element to PDF Set up your PDF generation with precision and ease using the following configurations:
📥 Element PDF Action
Use this action to convert a specific element or the entire page into a PDF. Configure settings like headers, footers, orientation, page size, and more.
🛠️ Set PDF Parameters
  • 📝 Header Text: Add custom header text to your PDF.
  • 📝 Footer Text: Add footer text to personalize the bottom section.
  • 🔠 Header & Footer Font Size: Define font sizes for both header and footer.
  • 🔄 Orientation: Choose:
    • "p"
       for Portrait (Vertical)
    • "l"
       for Landscape (Horizontal)
  • 📄 Page Size: Select from standard sizes like A4, Letter, DL, Tabloid, etc.
  • 📏 Margins: Set custom margins for Top, Bottom, Left, and Right.
  • 💧 Watermark Settings: Define size and color of the watermark.
  • ⬇️ Download PDF: Enable the checkbox to auto-download the PDF upon generation.
⚡ Generate & Store PDF
  • ▶️ Generate PDF Action: After setting parameters, trigger this action to generate the PDF and receive a Base64-encoded version of the file.
  • 🗃️ Store PDF in Database: Save the PDF using:
    • Base64 code
    • Your Bubble App Name
    • (Optional) Version path if using /version-test

💬 How do I customize the header and footer of the PDF?
Simply enter your preferred text in the Header Text and Footer Text fields. Adjust the font size using the respective input settings.
📐 How can I change the page size?
Choose from a variety of supported sizes in the configuration:
  • A1, A2, A3, A4
  • Letter, DL, Government Letter, Tabloid
🔐 How does the plugin handle private images like SVGs?
SVGs or private images stored in Bubble CDN will be automatically hidden during PDF rendering to protect content privacy.
⬇️ Can I download the generated PDF?
Yes! Check the “Download the file” box to enable instant downloading of the generated PDF.
🗄️ How do I store the PDF in the Bubble database?
Use the Store PDF action. You’ll need:
  • The base64 code of the PDF
  • Your App Name
  • (Optional) /version-test
     path if working in a development environment
🧬 What is the base64 code?
It’s a text-based representation of the binary PDF file. You can use it for:
  • Storing in your Bubble database
  • Sending via APIs
  • Sharing securely
💧 How can I add a watermark?
Configure watermark size and color in the settings. It will be applied during the PDF creation process.
