This plugin brings the power of Markdown to your Bubble app. It includes a powerful Markdown Editor and a visual element to display the Markdown with Github Markdown styling.

The editor features:
- A side-by-side preview
- Keyboard shortcuts
- A toolbar with commonly used formatting actions

You can get the contents of the editor in its raw form to put it into the included Markdown display which will format it to Github Markdown standards. You can also get the editor contents in formatted HTML, so you can leverage the HTML data however you wish.

Instructions

You can add the Markdown Editor element, found under Input forms, into your Bubble app like you would with any other sort of input element.

To access the editor's contents, the element has an exposed state called "Contents". There is also an exposed state to get the contents as HTML.

Under visual elements, you'll find the Markdown Display element, which has a single field to take text as input and will run that text through a Markdown-to-HTML converter, displaying the result.

Great plugin and fast support

I know some of the older reviews talk about this plugin be ing out of date - if you are in 2024 the plugin works great with the latest version of bubble and the dev is responsive to requests and bugs. Definitely try it out if you are looking for something more advanced than just a multi-line text block.

Decently Featured

This is a good implementation of MD editor/display in the bubble environment. However, there is a lack of styling settings exposed that prevent it from rendering well on dark themed sites. 

Also, "Stretch to fit content" breaks when images are included in the markdown content.

The developer has stated there will be no fixes either. This plugin should be removed from Bubble.

Unfortunately this plugin will cause a General Error and not work with the lastest version of Bubble. 

The dev has also stated that this will no longer be in development, yet still accepts payments. 

A wasted $70.

I do have users that aren't reporting issues so I would like to look into why this is happening for you. Would you be able to respond to my message to hopefully dig into this further? (plugin author)
