🔗  This plugin enables you to open a URL in a new tab using a workflow action on Bubble elements such as groups, text, image so you don't need to use the Bubble "link" element.

**This should work without triggering popup blockers, since it is implemented by first converting the element into a link, then opening the link in a new tab based on the link.

Opening a URL in a separate tab in a workflow action also allows you to fire events alongside that action.

Add an html id attribute to the element that you wish to click (can be a group, image, text, etc)
Click to start a workflow with that element
Add an action to that workflow
From the "Plugins" sub-menu, you should see an option called "Open URL in New Tab" -- select this one.
For the first input, called "This Element's html id", add the html id attribute you used in step 1
For the second input, called "Destination URL", add the full URL of the link destination (e.g. "https://google.com" would be correct. NOT "google.com" or "www.google.com")

Can't get this to work In A repeating group

I need an image in a repeating group to link to a webpage in new tab. Was hoping this plugin was the answer.  It throws an error "Remember to fill out the HTMLid field and destination URL for the 'Open URL in New Tab' workflow" (which I have).  hmm?

It's what I been waiting for! Make sure you get rid of the 'open in external website' workflow function thats attached to your element first. This plugin should be #1 and the only # in your workflow. Simple to understand :)
