1. Add the PDF View & Sign Pro element
Add the plugin element to your Bubble page or mobile view and define the desired width and height.

2. Set the PDF source

Use the pdf_url field to provide the PDF document that should be displayed.

The PDF must be accessible through a valid URL or Bubble file URL.

3. Configure the initial view

Use initial_page to define the page displayed when the document loads.

Use zoom_initial to define the initial zoom level.

The theme field can be used to select the desired viewer appearance.

4. Enable the required features

Use the available fields to enable or disable features such as:

Text search
Annotations
Bookmarks
Electronic signatures
PDF form filling
PDF download

This allows the viewer to be configured according to the requirements of each application.

5. Configure the interface language

Use the language field to define the initial language of the PDF viewer.

Supported languages are:

English, Portuguese, Spanish, Nederlands, French, German, and Italian.

6. Allow end users to change the language

Set allow_user_language_selection to yes to display the 🌐 language selector in the bottom toolbar.

When enabled, users can switch between any of the 7 supported languages directly inside the viewer.

The language field remains the initial/default language.

No additional Bubble workflow is required for language switching.

Set allow_user_language_selection to no to hide the language selector and use only the language configured through the language field.

7. Capture and apply a signature

Enable signature support using enable_signature.

Users can capture their signature, position it on the PDF, and generate a new PDF containing the applied signature.

Use the available signature Actions and Events when workflow control is required.

8. Upload the signed PDF to Bubble storage

After the signature has been applied, run the plugin Action:

Upload Signed PDF

The plugin will generate the signed PDF and upload it directly to Bubble storage.

During the upload, the is_uploading_signed_pdf state is set to yes.

When the upload completes successfully:

uploaded_signed_pdf_url contains the uploaded signed PDF URL.
is_uploading_signed_pdf returns to no.
The Signed PDF Uploaded Event is triggered.

No upload endpoint or Website Home URL configuration is required.

9. Save the signed PDF in a Bubble Data Type

Create a field in your Bubble Data Type with type file. For example:

Signed PDF → file

Create a workflow using:

When PDF View & Sign Pro → Signed PDF Uploaded

Then use Create a new thing or Make changes to a thing.

Set your Data Type file field to:

PDF View & Sign Pro's uploaded_signed_pdf_url

This stores the uploaded signed PDF reference in your application's database.

The plugin itself does not need to know which Data Type is being used, making this feature reusable with contracts, customers, orders, documents, reports, forms, or any custom Bubble Data Type.

10. Handle upload errors

Use the Signed PDF Upload Failed Event to handle upload failures.

The signed_pdf_upload_error state provides the error message returned by the upload process.

This can be used to display an alert or error message to the user.

11. Use the plugin States

The plugin exposes States for document information and workflow integration, including current page, total pages, zoom level, search information, bookmarked pages, annotations, signature status, signed PDF URL, uploaded signed PDF URL, upload status, upload errors, detected form fields, and other document information.

12. Use the plugin Events

Events can trigger Bubble workflows when important operations occur, including PDF loading, page changes, completed searches, annotations, bookmarks, signatures, form submission, export operations, successful signed PDF uploads, and upload failures.

13. Web and Mobile support

PDF View & Sign Pro is designed for Bubble Web and Mobile/BubbleGo environments.

Internal PDF rendering, signing, and upload operations are handled by the plugin according to the current environment, allowing the same plugin functionality to be integrated into different types of Bubble applications.
