Can I take the certification exam in languages other than English?
Updated over a week ago

The community has been requesting that we offer the Bubble Developer Certification exam in languages other than English and we’re looking into doing so soon. In the meantime, it is possible to translate the exam to your preferred language using the Google Translate Chrome Extension. If you are uncomfortable taking the exam in English, we recommend trying this extension. Before you do, please be aware of the following:

  • Google Translate will translate Bubble terminology literally. Be prepared for this, as you may not be familiar with the terminology when translated this way. For example:

    • English: Make changes to a thing

    • French: Apporter des modifications à un object

  • You can hover over the translation to see the original version in English at any time.

  • Translating the exam may impede your response time. Take this into consideration when pacing yourself. As a reminder, you have 3.5 hours to complete the exam.

  • We recommend using this extension only as an aid, not as an official translation.

Follow these instructions before beginning the exam to set up and activate the extension:

  • Be sure you are using a Chromium-based browser (we recommend Chrome).

  • Install the Google Translate Chrome Extension from the Chrome Web Store.

  • Once installed, click the extension icon and select Translate this page from the popup.

  • Select your preferred language from the dropdown menu in the top-left.

  • Make sure the extension is activated before clicking Start on the exam.

Remember: You will not be flagged by our proctoring system for using the extension. One registration grants you two total attempts to pass within a 3-month registration window. If you would like to take the translated exam, we recommend doing so on your first attempt in case you would like to use the original English version for your second attempt. If you have any questions, please contact our Support team.
