In this Quick Tip, we're going to learn about BBCode to allow for extra formatting of your text.

Text in Bubble can be enhanced by wrapping it between BBCode tags. We use BBCode for formatting rich text, so if we wanted to make something bold or underlined that isn't styled that way, we can still do so.

A great use for BBCode is to style dynamic data in your text elements that you otherwise wouldn't be able to format.

We have two ways of writing BBCode in text elements: we can either look up the tags for the BBCode itself and manually wrap the text we want right here in our expression, or we can open up the rich text editor for our expression and select the text we want to format.

For example, if we wanted to make certain text red, we can highlight it in the rich text editor and color it. Then when you view it in the property editor, you can see the BBCode automatically added.

Now that you see how easy it is to utilize BBCode to create richer text in your expressions, give it a try!

That's it for this Quick Tip! For more, be sure to check out bubble.io/academy.
