In this Quick Tip, we’re going to learn about displaying a list as text just by doing a search. This can be useful in situations where you don’t necessarily need a repeating group and may want to display data through text formatting.
When you return a list in a text element you get an issue because it cannot resolve to printable text. But if you do get text from the result of the search like, for example, a user’s first name, you’re making a valid expression.
If we preview this, our search will display all the results it finds and separate each entry using commas automatically. You can then customize this however you’d like. For example, you can format the text and create a line break and display using other text operators or format it using BB code.
