How to Re-Enable Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) on Your Bubble Account

Re-enabling Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) on your Bubble account enhances your account’s security and protects it from unauthorized access. Follow the steps below to successfully re-enable 2FA after it has been disabled on your account.

Step-by-Step Guide

  1. Log into Your Account: Access your Bubble account by logging in at bubble.io/account.

  2. Navigate to Account Settings: After logging in, go to Account Settings → Security Tab.

  3. Set Up Two-Factor Authentication (2FA): - In the 2FA Settings section, click on “Set up 2FA.” - A popup will appear prompting you to re-enable 2FA.

  4. Authenticate Your Account: - Enter your current password when prompted. - A QR code will be displayed.

  5. Use an Authenticator App: - Open your preferred authenticator app (e.g., Google Authenticator or Authy). - Use the app to scan the displayed QR code. - The app will generate a 6-digit code.

  6. Complete the Setup: - Input the 6-digit code from the authenticator app within the popup. - Click “Activate” to enable 2FA.

  7. Confirm 2FA Activation: - Once completed, ensure the 2FA status updates to “Enabled.”

Optional: Generate Backup Codes

For added security, it is strongly recommended to generate backup codes. Backup codes allow access to your account even if you lose access to your authenticator app.

  1. Go to the 2FA Settings section within the Account Settings.

  2. Click on “Generate Codes.”

  3. Enter your current password and a code from your authenticator app.

  4. Click “Generate” to create a list of backup codes.

  5. Copy and store your backup codes securely in a safe location.

Following these steps ensures your Bubble account is equipped with Two-Factor Authentication again, significantly enhancing its security. For any issues during the setup process, verify that you are using a compatible authenticator app and have entered the correct 6-digit code.
