Will my mobile app incur workload usage?
Yes. Mobile apps use the same workload unit system as web apps since they share the same backend infrastructure. Workload consumption and charges apply throughout the mobile beta period.
Is workload shared between my web and mobile apps?
Yes — since mobile and web apps share the same backend and database, workload usage is cumulative across both platforms. The workload generated by your web and mobile apps is combined.
There are some small differences: we charge a small amount of WU on web page load that we don't charge when mobile views are navigated to. You should also expect native mobile components like push notifications to consume WU.
Do I need to purchase separate workload tiers for web and mobile?
No — you purchase one workload tier that covers your entire project, regardless of whether users access it via web or mobile.
How do I track how much workload my mobile app is using?
Additional filters in the Logs tab are planned to help you differentiate and track workload usage and traffic from your web and mobile apps separately. These aren't available yet but are on the roadmap.
