How can I delete my Bubble account?
Navigate to your Account page and go to Settings.
Scroll down to the 'Delete account' section.
Click the 'Begin account deletion' button. When prompted, confirm your decision to initiate the deletion process.
Alternatively, you can request the Bubble team to delete your account on your behalf: open the AI Chatbot, start a conversation, express that you want to delete your Bubble account, and follow the prompts.
What should I know before deleting my account?
Your apps, templates, or plugins will not be automatically deleted. You must manually delete these prior to deleting your account if they are no longer needed.
Any active subscriptions for which you are the admin will be canceled upon account deletion. This may result in breaking dependent apps and impacting their users.
Your personal data (email, Bubble usage, etc.) will be deleted. Apps and their databases are not deleted.
If a website app was created under your account, it will no longer be accessible post-deletion.
Can a deleted Bubble account be restored?
When a Bubble account is deleted, deletion is scheduled for 48 hours in the future. During that time, you can restore your account yourself by logging into Bubble, which will automatically redirect you to a /restore_account page. Alternatively, you can reach out to the Support team to request that your account be restored, which can be accommodated within the 48-hour deletion window.
You will receive email notifications when an account is scheduled for deletion and when it is restored, if applicable. After the 48-hour period, your personal data will be removed from active systems immediately. After the 48 hours, the deletion will be final, and recovery will no longer be possible.
After the deletion is complete, Bubble will send you a confirmation email once no data associated with your account remains in our systems.
How can I delete my Bubble app?
If you no longer need an app, you can delete it completely from your account.
Implications of deleting an app
Once an app is deleted, it cannot be recovered, even by the Bubble team
The app's name is locked even after deletion - don't delete an app in an attempt to free up the name (the app name is only visible to your users in your app's default URL)
All details related to your app are deleted without exceptions (including the databases)
Ensure the app ID is entered exactly as it appears, including all lowercase letters and hyphens, to avoid issues during the deletion process
It is not possible to delete only the mobile portion of an app while retaining the web app. To keep your app web-only, avoid using or publishing the mobile version.
How to delete an app
Navigate to the Apps section of your Bubble account. Click the pullout menu symbol next to the app name to see the app's properties and relevant actions, then click the Delete app button at the bottom of the pullout menu.
After clicking Delete app you will be asked a security question to confirm the process. Deleting the app can take up to a few minutes, depending on its complexity and the size of its database. Ensure you type the app ID exactly as it appears, including all lowercase letters and hyphens.
If you encounter an error like 'There was an error updating your app plan, please try again later,' it may be due to a policy violation report. In such cases, app deletion is temporarily restricted until the review is completed.
Who can delete an app?
Only administrators can delete an application. If you cannot see the Delete app button, it means you don't have the sufficient access level to delete it.
