What is agency tiering?
Bubble's agency tiering system assigns agencies a Gold, Silver, or Bronze tier based on their overall contribution to the Bubble ecosystem.
Do I need to apply for a tier?
No. New and untiered agencies are reviewed on a monthly basis and will automatically receive a tier if they meet the requirements. There's no application needed.
If you're a new agency looking to be listed, you must first submit your account in your agency settings. New submissions are reviewed on a monthly basis.
How can my agency get tiered?
The first step is earning the Bubble Developer Certification — this ensures that only sufficiently qualified developers are serving our users. After that, your tier is determined by several objective factors. Learn more.
What are the tier criteria?
Last updated: July 1, 2025. Tiers are assigned based on the following criteria:
| Gold | Silver | Bronze |
Annualized value generated in the Bubble ecosystem (L12M) | $50,000+ | $10,000–$49,999 | $1–$9,999 |
Number of transitioned apps in the Bubble ecosystem | 15+ | — | — |
Percentage of Bubble-Certified Developers | 60% | 70% | 100% |
Note: You may notice that the certified developer percentage required for Gold is lower than for Silver or Bronze. This reflects that larger agencies often have junior developers in training or new hires who haven't yet certified.
How is annualized ecosystem value calculated?
This metric is a blended measure of your agency's contributions over the past 12 months (based on apps you've made edits in). It includes:
Self-Serve App Revenue: Annualized MRR of apps where your agency has been a collaborator for 50+ days. Split equally if multiple agencies qualify.
Enterprise App Revenue: 25% of the annual contract value for qualifying enterprise apps (e.g., a $50,000 contract = $12,500 attributed to your agency). Split equally if multiple agencies qualify.
Agency Account Revenue: Annualized figure based on the number of seats billed monthly.
Marketplace Revenue: 25% revenue share of your one-time and recurring marketplace charges over the past 12 months.
Note: these metrics only reflect revenue visible to Bubble. You won't be asked to report your pricing structure.
Is there a revenue distribution requirement for Gold tier?
Yes. If Agency Account Revenue (seat subscriptions) represents 30% or more of your total annualized value, the remaining revenue must independently meet or exceed $50,000.
For example:
An agency with $70,000 total revenue where $20,000 (29%) is from seat subscriptions qualifies for Gold based on total revenue.
An agency with $70,000 total revenue where $25,000 (36%) is from seat subscriptions would need at least $50,000 in non-seat revenue — which they don't have ($45,000) — so they'd remain at Silver.
What is the evaluation schedule?
There are two review cycles:
Monthly review: For new and untiered agencies. Takes place during the first week of every month.
Quarterly review: For all tier upgrades and downgrades. Takes place during the first week of each quarter, covering changes from the previous quarter.
Once assigned, your tier stays in place for one quarter (three months). If your tier changes, you'll be notified by email.
Enterprise revenue share program
All tiered agency partners can earn revenue by referring enterprise clients to Bubble.
How much revenue can I earn?
Agencies that refer enterprise clients to our Sales team receive a percentage of the first-year contract value if the deal closes within six months of the referral:
Gold: 20%
Silver: 15%
Bronze: 10%
How do I participate?
You must sign an official revenue share agreement before receiving payouts. Complete this intake form and we'll send you the agreement.
How do I submit a referral?
All referrals must be made via the Contact Sales form. Enter the client's information and details about the opportunity. A member of our team will review the submission and notify you within five business days if the referral is approved.
What qualifies as a referral?
To qualify for revenue share, the deal must:
Be a net new enterprise client OR an upsell of an existing client
Close within six months of the referral
How is revenue share calculated?
Revenue share is calculated based on the annual contract value for the first 12 months. Payments are processed quarterly during the last two weeks of January, April, July, and October, based on the total eligible amount paid by the end customer that quarter.
Note: agencies receive the revenue share percentage associated with their tier at the time of referral.
