Bubble is a U.S.-based company and does not have a VAT (Value Added Tax) number. Instead, Bubble provides a W-9 form that includes its U.S. tax identification information, specifically its Employer Identification Number (EIN). This document can be used for tax-related documentation or expense reporting as needed.

To ensure accurate billing and compliance, you can verify your billing country and update your Tax ID or VAT number by going to the Account > Billing page and clicking "Add Tax ID". Follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to the Account > Billing section.

  2. Click on Add Tax ID.

  3. Choose the type of tax ID from the dropdown menu.

  4. Input your VAT ID or other tax identification information. After completing these steps, your VAT ID will appear on all future invoices. You can also regenerate past invoices to reflect your VAT ID through the invoice history in the account settings. This ensures complete and accurate tax documentation.

Important Notes About VAT Reporting

  • Bubble, being a non-EU supplier, does not manage VAT reporting for customers. If you add your VAT ID to Bubble invoices, you will be responsible for reporting and paying any VAT owed according to your local regulations.

  • Including your VAT information on Bubble invoices can simplify communication with tax authorities and improve your record-keeping, but it does not shift VAT reporting responsibilities to Bubble.

Expense Reporting Using Bubble’s Tax Information

For expense reporting, you can use the W-9 form provided by Bubble. This document contains Bubble's Employer Identification Number (EIN) and can be accessed from the account’s billing section. Ensure you download and retain this information for compliance with your local tax regulations.
