Why do I have $1 authorization charges for apps that I cannot see on my home page?

When you start a free trial with Bubble, we place a $1 pre-authorization hold on your card to verify that the payment method on file is valid.

This may appear as a pending charge on your bank statement. Please note that this is not an actual charge. It is a temporary authorization hold and will not be processed.

The hold typically expires automatically within 7 days, at which point the $1 will be released back to your account by your bank.

If you see the $1 pre-authorization but do not see any apps at bubble.io/home, it likely means you started a free trial during AI app generation, but the app generation process did not complete.

In these cases:

  • Any free trials associated with incomplete app generations are automatically canceled within 72 hours.

  • If you’d prefer to cancel sooner, you can ask the Support AI bot to cancel your subscription and follow the prompts provided.
