Do you offer a free trial for any paid app plans?
We offer a 14-day free trial of our Starter plan! At the end of the free trial period, your subscription will automatically convert to a paid plan. Please note that the trial is only available for the Starter plan; if you upgrade to a higher plan while on the trial, you will immediately be charged for the higher plan.
How does the 14-day free trial work, and what are its conditions?
The free trial is exclusively available for new apps created in Bubble.
Once activated, you have 14 days to test the features of the Starter plan.
If not canceled before the end of the trial, the subscription automatically transitions to a paid Starter plan.
Free trials are specific to individual apps, not account-wide. If an app is duplicated, a new trial may be triggered for the copy.
You must initiate the trial within 10 days of creating a new app for it to be available.
The trial can only be used once per app and cannot be reset, reactivated, or extended once it has ended or been canceled.
Free trials cannot be applied retroactively to apps that have already been upgraded to a paid plan.
Free trials may not be available in certain regions such as India due to regulatory restrictions. Users in these areas can directly purchase a paid plan.
How do I start the free trial?
Navigate to your app editor and go to Settings.
Under the My plan tab, click Change Plan.
Select the option to Start 2-week free trial!
What is the $1 pre-authorization hold?
When activating a free trial, Bubble performs a $1 pre-authorization check on your card to verify the validity of the payment method. This is not an actual charge but a temporary authorization that may appear on your statement. It typically expires within 7 days and is automatically released back to your account.
A valid credit card is required to activate the trial. If the authorization fails, it could be due to insufficient funds, bank rejections, or technical issues. To resolve:
Confirm that your account has sufficient funds for the $1 pre-authorization.
Contact your bank to understand why the authorization might have been declined.
If problems persist, try using a different card.
What happens when my free trial ends?
If you do not cancel your trial subscription before the trial expires, it will automatically roll over onto a paid plan and you will be charged immediately. Please note that all plans are auto-renewing, which means the plan will continue to renew and you will be charged at each renewal as long as the plan is not canceled.
If you do not wish to continue with a paid plan after your trial, you can downgrade your app to our Free plan anytime before the end of the trial to avoid rolling over onto a paid plan.
What happens if I upgrade my plan while on a free trial?
If you upgrade your app's plan while on a free trial, the trial will end, the plan will be upgraded, and you will be charged the full price of the new plan immediately.
How do I transition from a free trial to an annual paid plan?
Navigate to your app settings and access the App plan section.
Choose Change Plan and select an annual billing option for your subscription.
Finalize your selection to secure annual billing benefits.
