Using templates: FAQ

Common questions about finding, buying, and using templates — including licensing, starting an app from a template, and why a template may not be visible on the Marketplace.

Written by Sofia Maconi

How can I find the right template?

The template marketplace lets you search by title or keyword and filter by price, experience level, and category. You can also sort by most installed, highest rated, price, or newest. Once you've narrowed things down, check the template details, reviews, and any documentation the developer has provided — and always click "Preview" to see it in action before buying.

How do I start an app using a template?

After purchasing a template, go to your My Apps page, click to create a new application, and select your template from the dropdown.

Can I add a template to an existing app?

No — templates can only be used when starting a new application. They can't be added to an existing app.

Which template license do I need?

There are two options:

  • Individual Commercial: use the template for your own personal or internal business projects. You can use it across unlimited apps, but can't build for third parties or resell it.

  • Developer Commercial: use the template for your own projects or apps you're building for clients. Also covers unlimited apps.

I'm unhappy with a template I purchased. What can I do?

Template purchases are non-refundable. If you're having issues, you can reach out to the template publisher directly to discuss what you're experiencing. Contact our Support team if you need help getting in touch with the right person.
