The energy at our inaugural BubbleCon absolutely knocked us off our feet — it was that great. From the attendees who flew to NYC from places like Australia and Venezuela to the thousands who made time in their busy days to hang out with us virtually, thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

The conference may be over, but we couldn’t help reliving a few particularly special moments. Check out our video highlights and scroll to hear more about our top five favorite moments from #BubbleCon2023.

1. When the crowd went wild for our native mobile announcement

ICYMI: during Josh and Emmanuel’s keynote, we announced that you’ll soon be able to build native apps on Bubble. This has been a long time coming — in fact, building for native mobile has always been our #1 request from the Bubble community. (To get updates and early access, sign up for the waitlist!)

But that wasn’t the only announcement from Josh and Emmanuel to earn major rounds of applause: The launch of AI-powered page design, bulk data operations, a reimagined expression composer, and custom event optimizations ranked up there, too.

2. Watching Immerse’s first all-women cohort crush it in the first in-person pitch competition

We’re not crying, we just have something in our eye. Our four finalists from the most recent Immerse cohort (all women!) knocked it out of the park at the Demo Day Pitch Competition, and we’re beaming with pride for what they’ve accomplished in such a short order.

Congrats to our winners!

  • Best Pitch: Vaish Srivathsan for her AI-powered reading app Simili
  • Best Product: Ana Saldaña for her pet wellness app Moolli
  • Community Favorite: Deb Shelby for her disaster relief app DART Command Central

Plus, seeing the Bubble community so engaged and supportive of these women was a true highlight of the week. This was the first time Immerse finalists have pitched in front of an in-person audience, and they raised the bar higher than ever.

To celebrate our finalists’ hard work and learn more about their apps, be sure to catch our Demo Day recap.

3. Getting big-time inspired by founders of successful Bubble businesses showing what’s possible

One thing rang loud out and clear at BubbleCon: Bubble enables and supports business growth.

Having stellar panelists from companies like HelloPrenup, KleerCard, and BetterLegal — all built on Bubble — share their stories, experiences, and insights about how Bubble has fueled their business growth (hint: through speed, scale, and flexibility) was electrifying and powerful.

4. Looking under-the-hood as Bubble’s internal devs shared all their best tips

Incorporating software development best practices into your app isn’t always easy or obvious. So hearing exactly how our team of Bubble Developers approaches bubble.io? Nothing short of awesome and informative. We were especially wowed by participant engagement and questions in the event chat — the session came alive because of it!

Bonus: All the time spent with this community (and selfies galore)

Josh and Emmanuel said it best in their keynote: Bubble is more than a product — it’s a community. We might spend a lot of time in front of screens, but nothing beats connection and laughter.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you. Here’s to next year.
