Installation & Usage
Add the Simple Dropdown Mobile element to your native mobile page.

1. Configure the Options

Use the options field to provide the list displayed by the dropdown.

You can use a static list or a dynamic Bubble expression.

Example:

Search for Customers's Name

The plugin automatically loads the available options before the dropdown is opened.

2. Configure the Placeholder

Set placeholder to the text displayed when no value has been selected.

Example:

Select a customer

3. Set a Default Value — Optional

Use default_value if you want an option to be selected automatically when the element loads.

The value must match one of the values available in options.

Example:

Current User's Company

The default value is applied during initialization and does not override selections subsequently made by the user.

4. Customize the Appearance

Use the available fields to customize the dropdown:

background_color — Dropdown background color.

text_color — Text color.

border_color — Border color.

border_width — Border thickness in pixels.

border_radius — Corner radius in pixels.

disabled — Prevents the user from opening or changing the dropdown when enabled.

5. Get the Selected Value

Use the element's state:

selected_value

This returns the text of the currently selected option.

Example:

Simple Dropdown Mobile's selected_value

6. Get the Selected Position

Use:

selected_index

Returns the position of the selected option in the list, starting from 1.

7. Run a Workflow When a Value Is Selected

Create a workflow using:

When Simple Dropdown Mobile value_changed

The event runs whenever the user selects a different option.

You can then use selected_value inside the workflow to save the selection, perform a search, update a Thing, navigate to another view, or execute other Bubble actions.

Dynamic Bubble lists are loaded automatically, including lists generated from database searches.
