QUICK START
1. Place Import Wizard on a Bubble web page. The empty configuration includes a working Contact example; choose Try 10,000 rows to explore parsing and validation.
2. For your own schema, create an ImportColumn data type: key (text), label (text), kind (text), required (yes/no), unique (yes/no). Supported kinds: text, email, integer, decimal, boolean, date. Create one definition record per destination field.
3. Set Field definition data type to ImportColumn and Field definitions to your ordered list of definition records. Select the key, label, kind, required and unique fields using the native selectors. Keys start with a letter and use only letters, numbers and underscores (maximum 64 characters).
4. Upload CSV or XLSX, select a worksheet, map columns, validate and approve the valid rows. Files with invalid rows can still import their valid rows.

COMPLETE INVENTORY SAVE WORKFLOW
Configure sku/text/required/unique, quantity/integer/required, active/boolean/optional. Set Rows per batch to 1 for this guided example. Create page states pending_sku (text) and pending_quantity (number). Create an ImportedInventory type with sku, quantity, active, active_is_empty, batch_id and source_row fields of the corresponding types.
• A batch is ready → Read value, row 1, field key sku.
• A value is read, only when value field is sku → retain value text in pending_sku; then Read value, row 1, field key quantity.
• A value is read, only when value field is quantity → retain value number in pending_quantity; then Read value, row 1, field key active.
• A value is read, only when value field is active → create the authorized record using pending_sku, pending_quantity, value boolean, value is empty, batch id and batch rows:first item. Create only when your search for this batch identity finds no previous record. Then Acknowledge batch with the exact current batch id.
Consume typed results in A value is read; a following step in the workflow that initiated Read value can see previous values. Store each result before requesting another field.

RETRY AND PRIVACY
Acknowledge only after successful persistence. A retry emits the same pending batch ID. Deduplicate previously saved records and serialize writes; a Bubble search-before-create check alone is not an atomic concurrent-writer lock. Give each user access only to their authorized records, and ensure the deduplication search can find that user’s prior writes. Cancellation does not undo completed database writes. Reset clears the local file and results. A page reload ends the in-memory import session.

SAVED MAPPINGS
Save mapping publishes mapping json and emits A mapping is saved. Store that output in your app. After selecting another file, pass the stored text to Load mapping. Mappings resolve by header name; a missing header produces an error. This workflow does not require editing JSON.

LIMITS AND ERRORS
Up to 10,000 rows, 100 columns, 10 MiB input, 10,000 characters per cell and 20 visible XLSX worksheets. XLSX formulas, encrypted files and unsupported formats must be converted first. Dates use YYYY-MM-DD. Exact decimal outputs use value text. Check value is empty before interpreting false or zero. Read error code and error message when An error occurs; do not acknowledge failed work.

The plugin parses files locally. Your workflows determine where approved data is stored. Bubble workload for database writes belongs to your app. No additional Bingo plugin or hosted-processing subscription is required.
