**How to set up the plugin**

1. Install plugin
2. Add Recorder element to the page
3. Add App ID received from the loom dashboard (see “***Loom account creation***” below)
   1. static option - add your App ID
   2. dynamic option - dynamically enter user’s App ID - allows users to handle guest recordings in their own collection (requires users to create their own developer accounts)

**How to use the plugin**

1. To record: put a “Loom record” element onto the page
2. Use any button to trigger an Event. In the workflow when adding action, under element actions, select “Start Recorder”. This will load the recorder onto your screen in your app.
3. Use the plugin Event ending in “recording-complete” to detect when the recording is completed by the user. You can then save the details for this video into your database.
4. To watch the videos: add a “Loom Player” element onto the page.
5. Dynamically enter the loom URL of the video you want to play in Loom’s video player.

***Loom account creation***

Creating a developer account on Loom is a simple process that can be completed in a few steps. Here is a detailed guide on how to create a Loom developer account:

1. Go to the Loom Developer Portal website by visiting this link: [https://www.loom.com/developer-portal](https://www.loom.com/developer-portal)
2. Click on the "Sign In" button located in the top-right corner of the screen. If you already have a Loom account, enter your login credentials and proceed to the next step. If you do not have a Loom account, click on the "Sign Up" button to create a new account.
3. Fill in the required information on the sign-up form, such as your name, email address, and password. Click on the "Sign Up" button to proceed. (approx. 1-2 minutes)
4. Once your account is created, you will be directed to the Loom Developer Dashboard. Here you can create your first application by clicking on the "Create an App" button.
5. Provide a name for your application and select the application type. There are two types of applications: "In-App Recording" and "Embed on Website." Depending on the type of application you want to create, select the appropriate option.
6. Once the application is created, you will be provided with an App ID. This App ID is unique to your application and is required to authenticate the API calls made by the plugin. Keep the App ID safe and use it in the plugin setup.
