Step 1: Install the Plugin Open your Bubble app editor.

Go to the Plugins tab.

Click Add plugins, search for “WGD PDF Text Extractor” or use the private plugin install link.

Click Install.

Step 2: Upload or Provide a PDF URL
You can either:

Upload a PDF file using a Bubble File Uploader and use its value as the input,

Or paste a direct link to a hosted PDF (e.g., from Bubble’s S3 or an external source).

Make sure the file is publicly accessible or Bubble-hosted.

Step 3: Create the Workflow
Trigger Example
When Button is clicked (e.g., "Extract Text")

Action
Add an action: Plugins → Extract text from a PDF (WGD PDF Text Extractor)

Step 4: Configure the Action Inputs
pdf_url

Use a dynamic expression to reference the file’s URL.
Example: File Uploader's value

page_to_return

Set the page number you want to extract from.

1 for the first page

2 for the second, etc.

Step 5: Use the Output in Your App
The plugin returns the following:

pages: a string containing the extracted text from the specified page

You can:
Display the result in a Text element:

Result of step 1's pages

Save it to a database field

Compare or process it using workflows or conditions

Step 6: Test It
Preview your app.

Upload or paste a PDF URL.

Click your trigger button.

Check the output (display or inspect) for the extracted text.
