Setting Up QR Code Scanner

Ensure you have a Bubble.io account.


Step 1: Install the Plugin

Go to the Bubble.io Editor for your application.
Navigate to the Plugin tab.
Search for "QR Code Scanner Plugin" in the Bubble Plugin marketplace.
Click "Install" to add the plugin to your application.

Step 2: Configure the Plugin

After installation, go to the Plugin settings.
Enter your API key and other necessary credentials obtained from the QR Code Scanner service provider.
Save the configurations.

Step 3: Create the Scanning Workflows

Go to the Workflow tab in your Bubble.io Editor.
Create a new workflow for the event you want to trigger a QR code scan (e.g., button click).
Add an action and select the QR Code Scanner action from the list of available actions.
Configure the scanning action by specifying the scan parameters and other details.

Step 4: Design the Scanning Page

Go to the Design tab in your Bubble.io Editor.
Create a new page or use an existing one where you want to add the scan button.
Drag and drop a button element onto the page.
Set the button’s workflow to trigger the QR Code Scanner workflow you created earlier.
Add a video or camera element to the page to display the camera feed for scanning.

Step 5: Test the Integration

Preview your Bubble.io application.
Navigate to the scanning page and click the scan button.
Complete a test scan using a sample QR code to ensure everything is working correctly and the QR code is being decoded properly.

Step 6: Handle Scan Results

Go to the Workflow tab to handle post-scan actions.
Add a workflow that triggers upon successful QR code scan.
Configure this workflow to perform necessary actions like updating the database, displaying scan results, or redirecting the user based on the scanned data.
