Automatic skeleton loader (with animations) for the native mobile Short List.
This plugin shows an animated skeleton loader over your Short List while it waits for data, then clears once the data is loaded.

HOW IT WORKS:

This plugin is designed for the native Short List element. The skeleton is shown by the "Show skeleton loader" action, which you place in a workflow before you load your data.

A typical setup, for a Short List inside a Sheet:

- Event: Do when Sheet 1 is visible
- Action: Show skeleton loader
- Action: Add a pause before next action — 500 ms
- Action: Display list in a short list or selectable list — pass your data

Add the Short List Skeleton Loader element to the page, set its Target ID to your Short List's ID Attribute and choose a style. The action shows the skeleton, the plugin clears it when your rows load. The same "show first, load second, short pause between" pattern works for lists on the page too (see the user guide for page and direct-data-source setups).


THINGS TO BE AWARE OF:

- For the native mobile Short List element (iOS / Android).

- Not drag-and-drop: the "Show skeleton loader" action must be placed in your workflow before the data loads, with a short pause between. This is what lets the skeleton appear before your data on native builds. Full instructions are in the user guide.

- Designed for the Short List. The populating action also works with a Selectable List, but a skeleton loader isn't intended for one — those are almost always short, and loading hundreds of items into a select control is poor UI regardless.
