FAQ

What is the Simple Modals plugin?
It allows you to easily add a modal window to your Bubble app, complete with an event trigger that fires when the user closes the modal—making it the simplest way to manage manual modal open/close behaviors.

How do I set it up?
Drag the Simple Modals element onto your page. Then use the “Open modal” action in your workflows to display it and set your custom content inside. When the user closes the modal, the plugin automatically triggers a “modal has been closed” event that you can harness in workflows.

What happens when the modal is closed?
The plugin emits a dedicated event the moment the modal is closed by the user—allowing you to chain additional workflows afterward.

Is it responsive?
Yes. The modal is fully responsive and adapts gracefully to different screen sizes, ensuring a smooth experience across devices.

Do I need to code to use this plugin?
No. Everything—from styling to event handling—can be controlled directly through Bubble’s visual editor with no additional code required.

Better than Bubble Popup for long Content
October 20th, 2020
I had places where I wanted to use a Popup, but the Bubble built-in Popup only works well for small amounts of content. I really needed something more like a standard Modal Popup. The plus -- this is that. I like how it appears on the screen and I like how it is easy for the user to see the 'X' to close it out. It also is far superior when the amount of content is large. There are two downsides. 1) For any formatting of the output, you have to specify in HTML. 2) The HTML formatting seems mediocre to poor to me. I'm using very simple HTML...font, font size, <P> tags, <BR> tags...nothing else...and it doesn't format correctly. I can figure out work-arounds, but that makes it hard to support.
