Plugin details

Strong Password Checker is a simple plugin that checks if the password your user is typing when registering in your application is strong or very weak. Strong Password Checker works as an action in your workflow. You can call this action when the user clicks a button or when the value of a desired input field changes value. The most common use case would be when the desired input change value checks if this value is a strong password or not. But nothing prevents you from using the plugin for other use cases.

➡️ Instructions

In the Workflow tab, look for the action "Strong Password - Check". This action receives 4 values, they are:

    - Password: This field receives the value you want to check if it is strong or weak.
    - Min. Length: This field receives the minimum value that the password must contain.
    - Max. Length: This field receives the maximum value that the password must contain.
    - Max. Repeat: This field receives the maximum repetition value of characters that the password can contain.

According to the values defined in the fields informed above, the plugin returns 2 values, they are:

    - Status Text: This field returns up to 6 Status: Too bad, Very Low, Low, Medium, Strong, Very Strong
    - Status Number: This field also returns up to 6 Status: 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, 0

Statuses are to help you block the click action or tell the user what the password level is. Remembering the number status is in descending order, that is, 5 being equivalent to "Too bad" and 0 equivalent to "Very Strong".

To guide how to use the plugin, let's take into account the most common example of use. The user typing a value in the input field will check if the password is strong, the button click action will only be released if the password has at least a status of 1 or less.
