Plugin details

UserLens empowers your users to report bugs and provide feedback visually, without installing any browser extensions.
It captures the current state of your Bubble app (including Popups, Floating Groups, and dynamic data) and converts it into a high-quality image.

πŸ”₯ Key Features:

πŸ“Έ One-Click Screenshot: Uses the html2canvas engine to render the DOM into an image.

πŸ™ˆ Smart Privacy (Hide Elements): prevent specific elements (like the "Report" button itself or sensitive data) from appearing in the screenshot simply by adding an ID.

πŸ’Ύ Download Action: Includes a dedicated workflow action to force the browser to download the image immediately.

⚑ Retina Ready: Automatically detects high-DPI screens for crisp images.

πŸ”— Base64 Output: Gives you the raw image string to save to your database, send to an API, or display in a popup.

Perfect for:

  - QA Teams & Beta Testing.

  - "Report a Bug" widgets.

  - Generating social media shareable images of user content.

Instructions

QUICK START GUIDE:
  - Place the Element: Add the UserLens element to your page (it can be 1x1px and invisible).

  - Trigger: Create a button (e.g., "Report Bug").

  - Workflow: On click, run the action "Take Screenshot".

  - Listen: Create a workflow for the event "UserLens - Screenshot Ready".

HOW TO USE THE IMAGE: Once the "Screenshot Ready" event triggers, you have two options:

  - Option A (Preview): Show a Popup with an Image element. Set the data source to UserLens's Screenshot Base64.

  - Option B (Download): Use the action "Download Screenshot" and pass the UserLens's Screenshot Base64 state into it.

HOW TO HIDE ELEMENTS: Don't want the "Report" button to show up in the picture?

  - Select the button in the Bubble Editor.

  - In the properties, set the ID Attribute to userlens-ignore.

  - That's it! The plugin automatically hides anything with that ID during capture.
