Just one minor bug: When going to another view/tab, the video does not pause. A fix would be much appreciated :)
Thanks for the feedback, the video not pausing is just an issue on BubbleGo, you won't have this issue on the mobile app on Android and iOS.

Fit height to content does not work (I have a video with a 1x1 aspect ratio). Otherwise, great and much needed plugin for native apps!

Issues with responsive height and initial load in Bubble Go app

Hi there, I just purchased your plugin Video Player (React Native) and ran into a couple of issues I wanted to flag: I’m using a 1:1 aspect ratio video and want it to display at 100% width, with the height automatically adjusted to match the width (i.e., square layout). → However, the video doesn’t adjust its height dynamically — it always defaults to a static min height (in px). It would be great if the plugin could support responsive height behavior based on the aspect ratio. When using the plugin in the Bubble Go app, the video only loads on the second attempt — never on the first load. This feels unexpected from a UX perspective. It would be really appreciated if you could look into these two issues. If there's an update or a workaround, I'd be happy to hear about it. Fixing this would make the plugin much more useful — and I'd gladly leave a 5-star review if it works as expected! Thanks in advance & have a great day, Best regards, Fenja
Thanks for the feedback, Fenja. Just a heads-up: Bubble is still in beta, so we can’t use a more robust video player yet. Right now, we’re using a webview container, which makes it tricky to measure the height properly.
That said, we’ve just pushed a fix for the height rendering. You can now also set the fit mode to contain, cover, fill, and more. This should help with your specific use case.
Once Bubble gives us access to the Video Expo SDK, we plan to switch to a proper video player. At that point, we’ll also be increasing the price. (plugin author)
