"WhatsApp - Send Messages" is a simple plugin that uses the official WhatsApp API released on your Facebook account to send the 5 simplest types of messages: Text, Image, Video, Audio and Document.

To start using the plugin you will first need to create a Facebook for Developers account. Enter https://developers.facebook.com/, login your Facebook account and follow the steps to create a Facebook for Developers account.

After connecting to Facebook for Developers in the "My apps" tab click on the create a new app button. Follow the steps to create the new application according to your need and desired information.

Once you have created your application, you must add the "WhatsApp" product. Create or select a business account to configure the "WhatsApp Business Platform API"

Ready! Now you will only need to provide the necessary information to send a message, they are: Phone number identification, User phone number and Access token. Remembering that for WhatsApp to send messages to its users they need to have interacted with the number. If the user has never sent a message to the number, sending messages will not work.

For the Access Token it is possible to create a permanent one so that you don't have to keep changing it every 24 hours. If you want to create a permanent Token, follow the steps provided by Facebook.
