Creme Digital is an agency that specializes in building high-quality, beautifully designed Bubble apps that “you’d never know were no-code,” as co-founder Jacob Klug says. In just a few years, Creme has built a portfolio of killer web apps and impressive clients, from enterprise companies to big-name creators across YouTube and social media. As the Toronto-based agency puts it, they build experiences, not just products.
Creme’s client roster includes some of the biggest names in entertainment. For example, one of Hollywood’s biggest studios tapped Creme to develop an internal marketing tool that’s being rolled out across their entire enterprise. Another client, a fintech company doing eight-figure revenue, hired Creme to develop a high-quality user experience for their customer-facing mobile app. And Bubble is Creme’s development platform of choice.

Whether it’s developing internal tooling or consumer-friendly apps, Creme prides itself on thoughtful design, near-obsessive attention to detail, and a track record of delivering great products to clients of all sizes, be it Fortune 500 enterprises or small businesses. Bubble gives the Creme team the power and flexibility to design and develop exactly what’s needed to get the job done.

A born entrepreneur

Jacob calls himself a lifelong entrepreneur, and he’s got the receipts to back it up. He built his first app — which sent automated texts to let his parents know when he arrived at school each morning — when he was in sixth grade. High school saw Jacob start a string of businesses, including a company that rented out conference rooms on an hourly basis, a marketplace app tailored to students, and a photo and video production service serving realtors. Though none of these businesses took flight, by the time Jacob graduated, he’d racked up more business experience than most “lifelong entrepreneurs” ever do.

Three things from Jacob’s childhood entrepreneurship proved vital in the birth of Creme: First, he knew that college wasn’t in his post-graduation plans. Second, he learned to build web apps on Bubble. And third, Jacob met his now co-founder, Damien Ghader — the son of one of the realtors Jacob had cold-called to pitch his photo and video production services — who was also working in a real estate–related business.

A no-code agency building the ‘crème de la crème’ of digital experiences

Sixteen-year-old Jacob and Damien hit it off and founded Creme Media as a marketing company in early 2020. When the COVID pandemic hit, clients came pouring in as businesses were forced into taking their operations online. One client, a martial arts studio, hired Creme to build a web app to host online classes. They built it in Bubble, and soon after joined the RFP program for agencies. “About a year into it, I realized I’m a lot more passionate about no-code than just doing random marketing projects,” Jacob said.

“We entered the market as a high-end, premium agency,” Jacob said. “If you care about user experience and building a product that users actually want to come back to and use, then we’re the ones for you.” The strategy worked, and Creme Media went all-in on product in 2021, rebranding themselves as Creme Digital and building out an internal team, starting with a head of sales.

Not three years later, scrolling through Creme’s “Our Work” page reveals an impressive client roster: Creator Now is a venture-backed accelerator for the creator economy. Frenter and Onder are modern online marketplaces that have both also raised funding. Montra is a full-fledged video editor with a familiar user interface based on presentation software. It’s also investor-backed. These apps are built on Bubble, and they’re not the only ones Creme’s delighted clients with.

Delivering Bubble magic to the enterprise

Outside of startups, Creme is also seeing a lot of enterprise clients interested in premium user experiences created with Bubble. “We obsess over front-end design, and that’s Bubble’s big advantage,” Jacob said.

Internal tooling is another area of growth potential for Creme, with both enterprise and small- and medium-sized business clients. For example, that big-name Hollywood client tapped Creme for a tool to make it easier for staffers to create and manage UTM links — specially formatted web links that let you track visitor traffic in great detail. UTM links are invaluable in helping marketers craft more effective campaigns, and this enterprise client is rolling Creme’s tool out across their entire organization.

“How can we help $10 million companies that aren't so technical?” Jacob asked. “Can we automate some things for them, and help them with tracking and flow and onboarding and that kind of thing?” There’s a sweet spot in building premium tools for the employees of businesses doing eight figures in annual revenue — clients who stand to benefit from thoughtful automation and have the resources to spend on it. It’s a market that may define Creme’s next stage of growth.

“Clients come to us because we can move fast and help them iterate to get more out of the stack they’ve already built.”

Creme also found a sweet spot in developing user experiences to take clients’ back-end tech to new heights. He mentioned two clients from the financial sector, where most companies want to develop and own their own proprietary technologies. “They’ll come to us because we can move really fast and help them iterate on different experiences to get more out of the stack they’ve already built. Maybe they don’t have the design talent internally, and we’re relatively cheap for a big company looking to hire a boutique agency that can build a killer front-end that connects to their stuff via API,” he explained.

Whatever markets Creme focuses on next, they’re sure to do it with the speed and power of no-code. And with their continued emphasis on delivering premium user experiences built faster with Bubble, you can be sure Jacob and Creme will keep delighting clients with every project they complete.
