The RepeatingGroupSlider plugin provides elements, actions and functionality to turn your existing RepeatingGroup in a slider or carousel box, while keeping you flexible in design. It provides two functional elements: RepeatingGroupCarousel and RepeatinGroupSlider. Both have their pros and cons, but in most cases the first one is better choice.
RepeatingGroupCarousel element has a bunch of parameters and allows to control many aspects of the sliding behavior. It's functionaly rich, able to act on wide range of events and is generally more friendly to end users providing smooth user experience. It is accompanied by Carousel Navigation element that implements slider navigation control as a series of navigation points with custom styling and smooth transition.

RepeatingGroupSlider element is functionally limited and can only display one slide in the corresponding RepeatingGroup's viewport. As it relies on native browser scrolling mechanism there are not many features that can be controlled and very limited set of events it can respond to. But as native scrolling is fast, it puts less overhead on system performance and is suitable for banner or news sliders when slide design is not sophisticated.

Instructions

Due to some specifics of Bubble rendering engine optimization, it is recommended to address plugin documentation to find best ways to bind plugin elements to target RepeatingGroup.
General instructions:
1. Install the plugin.
2. Put selected plugin element into a Group container together with corresponding RepeatingGroup.
   - If you are using RepeatingGroupCarousel, create an ID Attribute value for a target RepeatingGroup element and specify the same value in Container ID field of RepeatingGroupCarousel element.
   - If you are using RepeatingGroupSlider, leave CSS Selector blank, but ensure that both RepeatingGroupSlider and target RepeatingGroup are siblings in the same Group container.
4. Setup parameters of plugin element.
5. Design content of target RepeatingGroup. The size of RepeatingGroup's item does not matter as it will be resized by plugin element.
6. To navigate between items from workflows, create next/previous buttons if needed, and invoke Show actions of corresponding pluigin element in use.

It works just like the demo

It does take an hour or two to understand each function, but the carousel works great! I'm still trying to find a way for it to respect the minimum widget and gap between cells, but the behavior works like a charm.
Finally a carousel plugin that works

I have spent like $70 in plugins and this is the only one that finally worked. The settings are extremely comprehensive which is a massive bonus for developers. Thank you for making this and selling it at a reasonable price

It's very comprehensive plugin. I appreciate your effort. But it's too hard to set up just a basic image slider within RG. I think you can provide more understandable fields. Because this is not citizien-developer firendly plugin.
Hello! I'm really sorry these difficulties caused you feel that offensively frustrated. I don't like dividing people into groups, but if you prefer, we didn't mean to discourage or disrespect any developer, whether citizen or not. The final goal of this plugin is to provide the power of CSS and HTML capabilities to bubble users. The complexity is the price that arises from the ultimate flexibility it provides. I consider adding elements with narrowed set of options to make it easier to setup plugin for standard use cases, but the original Carousel element cannot be simplified further without losing some of its functionality. Meanwhile, if you need any help with the plugin setup, please post a message in the forum thread (see link in the description) or email to [email protected], we answer every request and prepare example pages when needed, so nobody is left behind.
