We asked Qinvoice founder, Bert Gybels, about building an app that helps freelancers keep track of their time spent on each client and task. Bert is a digital strategist who develops markeitng plans for brands in Belgium and abroad. He chose Bubble because the no-code platform offers him the tools and support needed to build a fully functional web app after getting past the steep learning curve.
Tell us about your app and what it does.
The app is an easy way for freelancers to keep track of their time spent on each client and task. It’s a timesheet software that generates invoices automatically each month. All you have to do is verify the invoice and export it as a pdf.
How does your app work?
Users can sign in immediately within five seconds. After that they’ll update some company info including tax details and a logo. All of these will be used to generate the invoice.
Afterwards, you just need to add your client list. Each client can have several tasks. Once you’ve set this up you can just start tracking in the timesheets and the invoices are created automatically. You’ll never forget to invoice again.
Tell us a little about your background and how you discovered no-code tools like Bubble.
I’m a digital strategist who develops digital marketing plans for brands here in Belgium and abroad. I love brainstorming new ideas but always found huge software development costs to be the block. With bubble I can finally “invent” and make things happen.
Why did you build your app on Bubble?
I built the app on bubble because it’s so easy: there’s a very steep learning curve and the support truly is excellent.
What have been your milestones or successes so far?
I’ve created 2 apps so far: Qinvoice and boekwolf.be - the latter being a sort of tinder to discover new books you may like. The first milestone is the launch.
What are your next steps or future plans for your app?
The next steps will be to improve the product based on customer feedback, and then for the app to translate to more languages.
