We asked Rags co-founders, Josh Cornelius and Stephanie Savoie, about building an app where users can discover cool clothing brands and interact with other users. Josh has a backgrond in developing and has been a product manager for the past five years. He chose Bubble because the no-code platform enables him to build fully functional digital products without having to code.
Tell us about your app and what it does.
Rags is the best way to discover the coolest clothing brands on the planet, powered by a community of people who care about what they wear.

How does your app work?
When you first get to the site you'll see a bunch of featured collections of clothing brands such as recently added, our favourites, trending brands, most liked, etc. You'll also see a list of "Top Brand Hunters" which highlights the users who have submitted the most brands to the site. If you want to explore all the brands we have you can head over to the explore page and search by style, location, sustainable/ethical practices, manufacturing location, and a bunch of other properties. If you're interested in a brand you can click on them to go to their page where you'll see more information about them, links to their site and Instagram, where they rank in the categories they're in, and comment with questions or thoughts about the brand. If you choose to sign up you'll have a profile where you can see all the brands you've hearted, hunted, and comments they've added. You can also follow other users to stay up to date on their activity.

Tell us a little about your background and how you discovered no-code tools like Bubble.
I've been a Product Manager for the past 5 years, but started my career as a developer. I never really liked the actual writing of code, but sucked it up because of how much I enjoyed building digital products as a whole. Because of this I've been closely watching the no code movement and playing with the tools for a while, but this is really the first time I feel like I'm not making user experience sacrifices by going this route.

Why did you build your app on Bubble?
I haven't seen another tool with the capabilities that Bubble has. The active community that has grown around the Bubble is also a huge plus for when you inevitably get stuck on something.
What have been your milestones or successes so far?
Honestly, just publicly launching was a huge milestone for me haha. I've started and given up on countless projects so finally seeing one through to launch was rewarding. After that having strangers sign up, actively use, and provide feedback on the product has been awesome. There haven't really been any huge notable events but it's been seeing steady growth in usage since launch and people genuinely seem to find it valuable which is all you hope for within the first couple of months after launching something.
What are your next steps or future plans for your app?
My two big focuses going forward will be to grow an engaged community around the product and make it more valuable for brands who are looking to get exposure and connect with new potential customers. Would also LOVE to hear any feedback people have who read this and end up checking out Rags!
