Ferhat Gulbahar, Sales and Marketing Coordinator at Transpere, tells us how his company used Bubble's no-code web app builder to create an auction platform that simplifies their wholesale IT sales process and gives a smoother experience to Transpere's enterprise customers. Bubble's robust assortment of features and helpful community gave the team at Transpere all they needed to deploy a fully functioning application for their business.
Tell us about your app and what it does.
Transpere is a national ITAD (Information Technology Asset Disposition) company managing IT-related assets for large corporations in the United States. Our application, Transpere.auction, is an innovative auction platform that simplifies our wholesale sales process and allows our customers to have better buying experience. On our platform, businesses can bid on auctions for large quantities of refurbished laptops, desktops, servers, printers, and computer parts. We provide an automatic bidding system, similar to eBay, that allows our customers to stay ahead of the competition without needing to be on our app constantly. In addition, users can monitor their orders throughout every step of the fulfillment process. Together, these things play a key role in delivering a better buying experience for our customers.
How does your app work?
Transpere.auction provides online business to business (B2B) sales of wholesale lots via online auctions. Businesses can register their accounts to place their bids. Every auction we post on our platform provides great details about each asset offered in the lot, as well as dimensions and weights of the pallets.
We provide a proxy bidding system where users can simply enter the highest price they are willing to pay for a lot, and we manage the rest. Our system keeps them in the lead but only up to their limit. We let our user know if someone outbids them, and they can decide if they want to increase their maximum limit. We offer email notifications that can be set to receive new auction alerts and bidding status changes in the auctions. Users can monitor all their orders in the app, track their shipments, and download related documents.
Tell us a little about your background and how you discovered no-code tools like Bubble.
Although my education is in Economics and Business, I began my career in logistics managing operations for an international freight forwarder. For the past couple of years, I have been working in marketing and learning to build web applications. I was always fascinated with solving business challenges, and automation in the workplace.
I discovered Bubble when I was looking for custom enterprise software solutions for our unique situation with the wholesale sales process. We were simply spending too much time managing sales through spreadsheets and emails. We needed an app that we can broadcast our wholesale inventory, customers needed a place to see all this inventory and offer their bids. This was the initial idea for our auction application, and after 10 minutes of playing around in the Bubble editor, I quickly realized I can build any custom app with speed and ease.
At Transpere, we have a strong innovation culture, while many organizations talk about the need to innovate, our CEO Rick Lewis built this culture and provided resources to successfully embrace these ideas. This was certainly very helpful.
Why did you build your app on Bubble?
I was looking for no-code solutions as an alternative to traditional web development. Solutions that can provide enough flexibility to build custom apps while offering simple deployment management. I was amazed how easy it is to deploy an application on the web with Bubble. I realized that Bubble had been around a while and its features were well developed, we thought it is a reliable tool for an enterprise.
How has Bubble helped your organization so far?
We went live with Transpere.auction this time last year and it was a big improvement to our sales process as well as to our customers’ buying experience. Being able to analyze our data helped us to stay on top of the trends. It also helped us to communicate better with our customers. We were able to automate recurring tasks and centralize all communications between our staff and customers.
What are your future plans for your app?
Our biggest goal is to increase efficiency internally and provide better buying experience to our customers. We are always looking for new ways to improve the buying experience of our customers. Customers today expect transactions to run smoothly and seamlessly, this requires an outstanding end-to-end unified process. We believe that this can be achieved with integration and communication.
