Have you heard? We launched our biggest AI update yet: the Bubble AI Agent, your new building partner that understands your app and helps you build faster. We also expanded AI generation to mobile apps, added in-app purchases, and made several security and workflow improvements.
The announcements came at Bubble Tour 2025 in London and Paris, which brought together builders from around the world to celebrate everything we’ve achieved together — like the fact that over the last year alone, apps built on Bubble have transacted over $1 billion, with nearly 6 million builders creating nearly 7 million apps — and what’s to come.
In the opening keynote, co-founder and co-CEO Emmanuel Straschnov shared our take on the next era of software development.
If you’ve got a few minutes, watch the full keynote. If you prefer the highlights, keep reading for the biggest announcements.
The challenge with current AI tools
Before we dive into what we built, it’s worth looking at how software development has evolved.
It’s impossible to talk about modern app development without talking about vibe coding. But while it’s a great starting point for prototypes, “the idea that anyone can use vibe coding to build software that scales is a false promise,” said Emmanuel.
With so much speculation that vibe-coding is the future, we decided to survey current and previous Bubble builders to see how they think the technologies stack up. Here’s what we’re seeing:
- The hype doesn’t match adoption: Only 9% of respondents use vibe coding for business-critical applications
- The security gap is real: 72% of respondents have worried about security vulnerabilities in vibe coding tools.

The delight of vibe coding only translates into successful products when you understand code, but you can’t control what you don’t understand. Bubble has a better vision.“Over the last decade, we’ve seen two eras of non-technical software development — and we’re about to enter the third,” said Emmanuel.
Era 1: No-code
Together with our community, we were the pioneers of no-code — a whole new way of building software. You can drag and drop elements to create interfaces and build workflows that completely replace thousands of lines of code. It gave more people the ability to understand how apps were built and made it much easier to tell computers what to do. But we had to recognize there were still gaps — and a learning curve.
Era 2: Vibe coding
AI brought an incredible leap forward. Now, so many more people are inspired to build software themselves using natural language. But in its current form, most AI tools generate more of the same bloated, complex code. Vibe coding hasn’t eliminated the need to understand code, it’s just delaying it.
Era 3: AI visual development
The next phase moves beyond the limitations of both no-code and vibe coding. “The idea that anyone can use vibe coding to build software that scales is a false promise,” noted Emmanuel. The central challenge we’ve seen: You can’t control what you don’t understand. That’s why we created something different.
We want you to build knowing you’ll have the tools to scale your idea, edit it exactly how you want, and grow it without getting trapped by code you can’t understand.
This is where our biggest Bubble Tour announcement came in: the Bubble AI Agent.
Meet the Bubble AI Agent: The first agent for visual development
Now available in beta to everyone on all apps created with Bubble AI, the Agent understands your specific app and can help you build faster.
The Bubble AI Agent can generate and edit elements using Bubble best practices — responsive design, proper element hierarchy, and your existing style variables. Ask it to build a job application form, and it creates the page, form elements, and maintains your app’s design system.

It can also troubleshoot workflows and expressions by analyzing your app structure. Ask “which buttons on this page don’t have workflows?” and it will scan your app and tell you exactly which ones need attention.
For features it can’t build yet, the Agent provides step-by-step instructions specific to your app. Want to connect to ChatGPT? It gives you detailed setup instructions, including what to paste into the API connector.

Everything the Agent creates is instantly editable with Bubble’s visual editor, so you can immediately see and modify what it built. All changes are tracked in the changelog, so you can see exactly what was modified and revert any changes if needed. If AI reaches its limits, you continue with visual tools.
We’re working on making the Agent even more powerful, including giving it the ability to handle workflows, expressions, and more. For mobile apps, it currently provides education and troubleshooting, with full mobile editing coming soon.
AI app generation for mobile

We’ve expanded our AI app generator to also include native mobile apps. This feature is currently in beta and creates mobile app UI with native design patterns, data types and sample data, and dynamic expressions. (You’ll still have to wire up the workflows for now, but this feature should still give you a big boost.) It will be rolled out to Bubble users in phases over the next few weeks.
The mobile AI generator gives you a solid foundation for iOS and Android apps that you can build on using Bubble’s mobile editor. You can test your apps on real devices using BubbleGo and submit directly to the App Store and Google Play.
Since launching native mobile development in June, more than 180,000 mobile apps have been built on Bubble. AI generation makes it even faster to get mobile apps into app stores.
New workflow tab and editor improvements

Earlier this year, we launched a redesigned workflow editing experience. The workflow tab includes new organizational features for complex app logic, and we’re continuing to work on improvements including loops and branching for the mid-term roadmap.
We’re also working on a completely refreshed property editor launching later this year. It will have a more intuitive design and organization and lay the foundation for even more AI Agent integration.
Mobile in-app purchases

“On the mobile front, Bubble will become the first platform to have in-app purchases built in,” said Emmanuel. We’re making good progress on this functionality and gave Bubble Tour attendees an exclusive demo.
In-app purchases integrate directly with your Bubble app’s logic and workflows, so you can handle subscriptions, one-time purchases, and other payment flows without managing separate systems or complex integrations.
Security and reliability updates

We’ve fully integrated Flusk — the security and monitoring tool we acquired last year — into Bubble, now called the Bubble security dashboard. You can scan your apps for vulnerabilities and get detailed security reports.
Behind the scenes, we’ve made major improvements to database performance with new indexing that improves speed and reliability across all apps. We’re also working on platform-wide reliability improvements including stronger safeguards, better internal tools for resolving issues, and modernized storage systems.
Community and learning resources

We recently launched a new experts hub that connects Bubble builders with certified agencies, freelancers, and coaches. Whether you need someone to build features for you, want coaching sessions to learn specific skills, or you’re an expert looking to offer services, we’ve updated the platform to help match the right people.
We’re also refreshing Bubble Academy with progress tracking and personalized recommendations. Stay tuned for more soon.
Bubble Tour 2025 and beyond
Last year at BubbleCon, we talked about how most AI tools generate apps but then leave you stuck with code you can’t understand when you need to make changes. We solved that by making AI generate apps you can visually edit.
This year, we’re taking that further. The Bubble AI Agent becomes your ongoing building partner that understands your specific app, helps troubleshoot issues, and guides you through new features as your idea grows.
The AI Agent is available now in beta for apps generated with Bubble AI. Open any AI-generated app and look for Agent mode in your editor.
Build your app on Bubble's Free plan. No need to upgrade until you're ready to launch your app.
