The end of the year is a great opportunity to reflect on the past year. Here is what happened in 2019 and what’s coming next.

Bubble in 2019

2019 was transformative for Bubble and for the no-code movement in general. Over the last 12 months, we have raised $6.25m (our first round of money ever!) and have been fortunate to gather a great set of investors to support us we take Bubble to the next level. This has enabled us to invest in engineering and customer success. For example, in the last few months,

Today, more than 330,000 Bubblers are building on the platform. Internally, we have more than doubled our team, going from 8 to 20, adding in particular a Head of Product Management and a Head of Design.

2019 has also been a turning year for the the no-code movement. When we started Bubble in 2012, people were telling us that everyone should learn how to code. Today, many are convinced the no-code approach will change how software is built, lowering the barrier to entry and empowering more people to turn their idea into reality. We’re proud to be one of the pioneers in this revolution, for instance by presenting at Web Summit this year.

Bubble in 2020

We want to keep improving the scalability and performance of Bubble apps in 2020. In addition to this, we have a few projects aiming to improve the experience on Bubble and at ease the learning curve. Currently, we’re working on an editor redesign and the ability to import/export large data sets. We’re also working on a Startup Program to enable more entrepreneurs to start on Bubble. We’re excited to share more about these features and initiatives once we’re ready!

Once again, we would like to wish everyone a very happy 2020. We hope this will be a year of happiness and health, and that Bubble will help you achieve success!
