Starting today, using AI with Bubble is smoother and faster than ever before. We’re launching two new ways to build with AI: Agent 2 and the Bubble MCP. Agent 2 is a major upgrade to the Bubble AI Agent, available to all users on all apps. The update brings speed and accuracy improvements across web and mobile, plus several usability upgrades.
Plus, for advanced builders working in Claude Code or Codex, the Bubble MCP (beta) allows you to connect your own agent directly to Bubble.
We're also introducing changes to our pricing, including AI credits and a new Starter Web price. The Agent runs on the latest AI models, and these changes enable us to make sure it continues to improve over time.
Here’s everything you need to know about these new releases.
Agent 2 is out of beta and available to all
Agent 2 reflects what we heard from builders during the public beta, from what worked to what didn’t, and what needed to change. This update makes the Agent smarter at building and editing apps, plus more intuitive to work with. Today, we’re making it available to all apps — including existing apps.
A more intelligent and reliable Agent
The improvements show up everywhere the Agent works on your app, from reading the first prompt to executing complex, multi-part edits.
That starts with the prompt itself, describing a new app or asking for a change to one you’ve already built. The Agent now does a better job with a vague or underspecified prompt, getting closer to what you meant on the first go.
From there, it carries its work out faster and more accurately. The Agent is now 1.5X better at building exactly what the user asked and 2X better at ensuring the result is fully functional. This is in part because it runs and learns from the issue checker in the background as it builds. The biggest gains are in reliability. It can now handle more complex builds and edits, like adding a full feature to a large, established app.
Building a single feature means getting several things right at once, like the design, the data, the logic, and the workflow that ties them together. Compared to the Agent from three months ago, it's significantly better at getting that combination right, as well as each piece on its own.
Preview changes faster
This update also changes where the Agent lives while you build. Preview now sits inside the editor as its own tab, and when your app finishes generating, you land there with the Agent pinned beside it, staying in place as you move between tabs. (Note: Browser support for Safari is still in progress.)
You can ask for changes without leaving the preview. Describe what you want and watch the app update in front of you. You can also click on any element, like a button, a workflow step, or a data field, to focus the Agent on that exact piece. Finally, you can “run as” a specific user right from a dropdown in the preview tab.
A few prompts you can try today
Here are a few practical prompt ideas for what Agent 2 can do today, from quick tweaks to more involved edits:
- For web apps: “Add a changelog to project tasks so I can track when others make changes and when projects were last updated”
- For mobile apps: “Add a party budget tracker to the Dashboard with spending categories, estimated and actual costs, and a running remaining-budget total.”
- For both: “Analyze my server logs from the past four hours to summarize recent user activity."
The Bubble MCP beta is here
If you'd rather build directly from Claude Code, Codex, or another AI tool, the Bubble MCP makes that possible. You pick the model and agent, and it can take almost any action in your app.
The MCP beta is intended for experienced Bubble builders who want to edit and grow apps they already have, from their own agentic environment. While we recommend you take Agent 2 for a spin first, we’re also excited to give you a first look at the MCP.
Here are some examples of what the MCP allows you to do. Without leaving Claude, ChatGPT, or your harness of choice, you can now let the Bubble MCP:
- Pull a Linear or Jira ticket and get the feature built in your Bubble app
- Use a Figma or Claude Design mockup and get working Bubble app pages
- Extract user's support ticket to find out what went wrong and get it fixed
- Import apps you’ve created on other platforms
Most of you already have opinions and documentation on how to build best on Bubble — providing explicit instructions to your agent when you prompt it will lead to best results. You can also install a skill in your own agent with instructions.
Note: This version can't read logs, merge branches or deploy.
Free access for your own agent
Because the MCP uses your own agent, not Bubble’s, using it doesn’t draw on your plan’s AI credits. You may still hit rate limits from whichever AI provider you're using.
This is just the beginning for the Bubble MCP, so if you want to share feedback or run into something it can't do yet, let us know.
Pricing update: AI credits and web-only Starter plans
Starting today, building with the Bubble AI Agent uses AI credits, and on October 20, the web-only Starter plan price will increase to $39/month ($32/month billed annually). The Agent runs on the latest AI models, and these changes enable us to make sure it continues to improve over time.
As a thank you to our community, existing apps as of Oct 6 will receive bonus credits. More details below.
How AI credits work
The Agent uses AI credits, but your app never depends on them. Everything in Bubble, including the backend, is visual and editable by hand, so you can always make changes yourself for free. Use the Agent where it speeds you up, and the editor where it doesn't.
What uses credits
- Building or editing with the Agent
- Generating images
What doesn't:
- Generating a new app, including the planning session
- Working in the visual editor
- Building through the Bubble MCP
Every plan comes with a monthly allowance of AI credits included and it refreshes on the first of each month. Credits belong to the app, so if you have multiple apps, they each have their own balance. everyone working on it draws from the same balance.
If you purchase more credits, they last six months from when you buy them. If you still have your monthly included credits and additional credits available, whichever expires soonest gets used first.
You’re in control of your credits and your build
If you use up your included credits, you have the option to buy more right away, or stick to the visual editor until your allowance replenishes on the first. If you're on the Free plan, you can upgrade to Starter to buy more credits. If your app is already on a paid plan, you can buy more whenever you need them.
| Plan | Included credits | Option to purchase additional credits |
|---|---|---|
| Free | 500/month | Upgrade to Starter to purchase |
| Starter | 1,000/month | Purchase additional credits through your App Plan page |
| Growth | 2,000/month | |
| Team | 4,000/month | |
| Enterprise | Credits vary | Reach out to your Account Manager. |
| Agency | 1,000/month | Purchase additional credits through your App Plan page |
Bonus credits for our community
Thank you for building with us, and for sharing your thoughts during our Agent beta. A lot of Agent 2 came from that feedback, so we want you to have plenty of room to try it on the apps you've already built.
Every app that exists on October 6, 2026 gets double its plan's usual credits allowance through October 31, 2026.*
If you're starting a new app, you can see how many credits your plan comes with on your app plan page or on the pricing page.
The price of web-only Starter plans is changing
Starting October 20, 2026, the web-only Starter plan price will increase to $39/month on a monthly plan, or $32/month on an annual plan.
If you’re already on the Starter Web plan or on a Starter trial, your plan price will change at your next renewal date. If you’d like to lock in the current annual plan rate of $29/month for a year, you can purchase the annual plan before October 20.
